My Rapture Dream 8/08/20
Hi
all, I hope you are doing well.
I
wanted to share a dream that I had on the 8th of August 2020. I believe
it was a rapture dream. I hope that as I describe my dream, you will read them
with an open heart to what I am about to say, and please test this
with your Spirit and the Word of God. I will also try to describe my best thought
about it and some important note afterwards.
Here
it goes.
---
I
was in a classroom and in my dream I knew that I was in Indonesia, specifically
in my hometown Bekasi. I was with a bunch of people that I didn’t really
know. I was starring at the sky outside and it was really foggy. I know Bekasi quite well since I've
lived there for 15 years and I knew things weren't as normal.
And
then I was transported into a car, I looked outside through the glass window and I witnessed
a rather unusual scene. The road was cracked, forming a wave-like surface and I
still saw some cars moving. It looked so disastrous and immediately I was
thinking ‘tribulation, tribulation’.
(The
past few weeks before I got this dream, I have been looking and reading about
the end times according to the Bible and so I have a bit of knowledge about the
coming tribulation and the rapture.)
What
I remember afterward was I was around with a number of people including my
family members. I had read a newspaper which said, ‘Missing 8,998 people’ and then immediately I knew it was the rapture. ‘What little amount of people!’
I thought. I was left behind. From then on, I knew I was going to have to go
through the tribulation, mark of the beast, and all the things that are written
in the Bible. But based on my knowledge, I still had hope to be saved
and I was motivated to lead my family because they looked clueless about the rapture at the time.
I
got transported to a scene where I saw two Western men wearing like an orange
suit and that almost looked exactly like a firefighter suit:
They looked like the
kind of persons who knew what was happening, and I was just asking them for a
confirmation that the 8,998 people I saw on the news were indeed raptured. But
they answered with “I don’t know”. Despite me begging, they still did not tell
me anything and so I just gave up asking them.
One last incomplete scene I remember in my dream was I tried to call someone close to me from church to check if she was missing but I couldn’t remember what happened afterwards.
I
woke up from my dream, in split second I knew God gave me a rapture dream. I was not really in fear, I felt more of an urge that
these things could happen at any second.

Here
are some thoughts about the dream:
The newspaper headline said 8,998 people were missing (that’s the number the best I could recall). I also had the dream on the 8th of August (8th month in our calendar). So I thought there might be some significance with the number 8. After I did some research, these numbers have prophetic meanings that are quite interesting.
The
number 8 in Hebrew literally means ‘A new creation’, ‘A new beginning’. God
completed his creation in 7 days. There are seven Spirits, seven eyes of the
Lord, seven churches in the book of Revelation. Hence, the number 7
signifies completeness. The number 8 figuratively goes through the
cycle of seven and symbolizes a new start to a new creation of the new heaven
and the new earth. In order for these new things to begin, the old must pass
away (Revelation 21:1), which brings me to my next point.
The number 9 symbolizes ‘finality’, or ‘judgement’ marking the end of all things to man. In relation to my dream, the judgment points to the wrath of God upon all the evil in the world. Jesus gave up His Spirit at the ninth hour (Mat. 27:46). The Father had raised him from the dead and have him the authority to execute judgment as the Son of Man (John 5:27). Human gestation also lasted for 9 months, which links the number 9 to birth, fruit and life. There are also nine fruit and gifts of the Spirit. (Gal. 5:22-23)

So
that's basically my dream. I believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the
church as mentioned in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 and
that we are at the end of the church age. The great tribulation is described in
Matthew 24:21 as great distress, unmatched from the beginning of the world
until now, and never to be seen again. I believe that the church is not
appointed to God's wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9)
How
can I be saved?
Repent
and Believe in The Gospel
Repent meaning 'a change of mind' of who God is and agreeing with him about your own
sin condition and your need for a Savior. God sent his Son,
Jesus Christ, to earth to take the punishment for our sins. We are saved
through our faith in his shed blood, not of our own effort or good works. When we
put our trust on Jesus Christ's finished work alone at the cross for our salvation,
our eternity is secured in him. We are sealed with his Holy
Spirit (Eph 1:13-14) and when Jesus appear in the clouds he will take
us away to escape the wrath to come and to be with him forever.

Some encouragements to not fear
What we see now with our physical eyes isn't it. There is an eternity that awaits us. God is patient and merciful and he is offering you right now a free gift which is everlasting life. Our God is powerful, he is able to carry out what he says he will do in his Word. Let us be encouraged with this blessed hope and trust in his perfect plan of redemption.

“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”
Colossians 3:1-2 ESV
